A SPACE in the party calendar, left by the closure of a gay club night, is set to be filled at Gloucester Guildhall.
Fake RadoIt is launching Pink*, a new gay, lesbian and transexual club night, which will run fortnightly on Mondays.
Kingsholm resident and UK Gay News editor Andrew Harley said the new night is welcome, as when Crackers nightclub in Bruton Way closed, its popular Monday gay-friendly night went with it.
"During the summer Crackers closed and it was famous throughout the country, as for more than 25 years, it ran every Monday," said Mr Harley.
"Every Monday night was gay night.
"The only time it didn't run was when Christmas Day fell on a Monday.
"It even kept going through the floods of 2007.
"When it closed Piaget Replica Watches it was a sad day. The people at the Guildhall realised this and thought of something to replace this."
Staff will be on hand to hear visitors' views on what they would like the night to evolve into and there will be resident DJs playing chart to house music requests until the early hours.
